Head Coach Butch Jones

On the play of the defense:

"I can't say enough about our defense. At halftime I knew we had too many plays, but we did a great job of coming up with the plays we needed. The fumble obviously was big and Josh Gordy's interception was big as well. Those are scoring territory takeaways. I thought we did a better job putting pressure on the quarterback in the second half. Tyler Sheehan is as tough of a competitor as I've been around."

On the play of Larry Knight:

"We challenged Larry. With Frank banged up and Sam Williams and Kashawn Fraser out, I thought Larry really stepped up and took hold of the line of scrimmage like a senior should. I'm very proud of him."

On the Chippewas' senior class:

"I can't say enough about our senior class. They're persevering and playing their best football. They're really leading and setting the standard of excellence for our next senior class and the next senior classes to follow. They've done a great job of leading and playing."

On the impact the weather had on the game:

"I thought the elements were a major factor during the game. We knew we had to establish the running game. I can't say enough about Carl Volny. He's been waiting his turn, and he got it today and he made the most of it. Obviously we're going to run Dan as well, and he's a vital part of our running game. I thought our offensive line in the second half did a better job of establishing the line of scrimmage."

Senior Defensive End Larry Knight

On the importance of the defensive line's play:

"It was very important for all of us. We try to play as a unit. Regardless of who is in there, we play as one. On any sacks, any pressures, anything like that, it was all of us as a whole."

On the play of the defense this season:

"We worked so hard, and we're starting to see the fruits of our labor. We just try to continue to do the same thing every week. The true sign of greatness is consistency and we want to be great."

On his sack on the 1-yard line:

"It was all Josh Gordy. The quarterback wanted to throw (to Gordy's man), and Gordy was on him so he didn't have anywhere to go. I just kept working moves trying to get there."

Senior Quarterback Dan LeFevour

On the offense:

"We had some great opportunities. We made the most of some of them, and didn't on others. I put that mostly on my shoulders for not seeing different things. The motto all week has been "find a way." I think we found a way to win this game."

On the Bowling Green defense:

"They brought a lot of different schemes. They're multi-dimensional and able to bring different blitzes out of different formations and down lineman alignments. They made plays, so hat's off to them."

On the importance of the running game:

"It was very crucial. I think you saw a few times when I tried to take shots deep that the ball just died. It was very crucial to be able to move the ball. Carl stepped up big. Our offensive line, a few times he didn't get touched for 7 or 8 yards, so hat's off to them."
