Scouting Reports

The good: Powerful senior struggled with injuries over his career before finishing with a strong final season. Despite questions about his health, he has definite pro potential with fine size and natural running skills. A slashing-type back who can be a workhorse with both quickness and power. As a senior, he rushed for 665 yards on 145 carries with seven TDs. He caught 15 passes for 148 yards.

The bad: Has dealt with an assortment of leg injuries in addition to a shoulder injury sustained in a car accident after his big initial season. Lacks top cutting skills or the ability to put together multiple moves. At the Combine, he did not work out due to ankle and shoulder problems.

Outlook: Tough runner with the physical skills to become an NFL starter. His adequate speed will force him to the late rounds where he could be one of the best bargains in the draft. Good second-day gamble with some upside. He is capable of stepping in to fill a few key roles early. This is special to Rivals.com from Frank Coyle.
