Tyrone (Ga.) Sandy Creek wide receiver Demarre Kitt is just a sophomore but the 6-foot-1, 185-pound prospect has already racked up offers from six BCS conference programs. Kitt put his abilities on display on Saturday night in Cleveland at the Raw Talent Sports combine where he was among the most impressive prospects in attendance, regardless of class.
"I felt good about myself," said Kitt of his performance. "There was some good talent here and I went up against the best and did pretty good."
Kitt's early offer list would be impressive for a junior, let alone a class of 2014 prospect and the talented pass-catcher is also hearing from a few other big name programs.
"I have Clemson, Georgia, Auburn, Ole Miss, and South Carolina," he said. "Florida and Alabama (are also showing interest)."
The offers come on the heels of an extremely productive sophomore season at Sandy Creek High School.
"It was pretty good," he said. "I had 10 touchdowns, one punt return touchdown, 42 receptions, and 651 yards."
On his way back to Georgia, Kitt and teammate Demetrius Monday stopped at both Ohio State and Cincinnati on Sunday afternoon. The Buckeyes were the first visit on the trip.
"(Ohio State) was pretty good, there weren't many coaches there but I liked the facilities," Kitt said. "I talked to one coach (Mark Pantoni), it was good and I liked everything around there. They didn't offer."
The second stop did yield an offer and Kitt now has the Bearcats right near the top of his list following his visit.
"I liked it there a lot, it felt like home," Kitt said of his Cincinnati visit. "I talked to the receivers coach, they offered me. I think it's a good offer because they run a spread offense and I liked the campus. They're probably in my top three right now with Clemson and Georgia."
