McQuinnie Has All Doubt Removed in Norman




During the Sooners first Jr. Day back on Feb. 2 they picked up their second commitment for the 2014 class from Lancaster, Texas safety, Vontre McQuinnie. Though he had already attended one Jr. Day event in Norman last month, that didn't stop the 6-foot-1 and 207-pound prospect from heading up to Norman again for the Sooners first spring practice earlier this afternoon to see how his future teammates looked on the field.

From all accounts, it sounds like the trip went as well as McQuinnie had hoped it would have gone.

"I thought it was everything I expected or everything that I hoped it was going to be. They were moving around fast. I liked the tempo because we (Lancaster) play at a high level, we play 4A, the game moves real fast and I'm kind of used to it by now. They were getting a whole bunch of plays in during practice and that never hurts," McQuinnie answered.
