Part 1: Players to be

When looking at the 2007 Cal recruiting class one has to think about the future. The 2007 class is full of great talent but the focus of the class was in the trenches. With almost half of the class consisting of offensive and defensive lineman, plus tight ends, Cal looks to be a position players dream. 2007 recruits like Brock Mansion, Shane Vereen, and Jahvid Best had to notice the bulk up front.

Most seem to think that the class is chalk full of potential with its size and speed - and you'd be right. There is plenty of power and velocity. There are impact recruits on both sides of the ball. Being a former player and avid recruiting follower myself, I have gained an educated opinion as to how these players fit into the program and how we as fans can expect excel on the field.
