Recruiting picking up for Louisiana lineman

This past weekend, around 300 of the top juniors in the country converged on Cedar Hill, Texas for the two-day Ultimate 100 camp and combine. With one day of testing and the next consisting of position drills and one-on-one battles, several players stood out. However, perhaps none more so than Napoleonville (LA) Assumption offensive tackle Jordan Mills.

It was hard to miss the 6-foot-6, 308 pound prospect once he arrived in the registration line. It was his performance on the field, though, that left the biggest impression. After a solid showing at the Baton Rouge NIKE Camp a few weeks back, Mills took home Offensive Line MVP honors in Cedar Hill.

"No, not yet," he said as to whether he had received his first offer. "Interest has picked up a lot since both of those camps, though."

If the traffic through the school's hallways this spring is any indication, it likely won't be long before Mills receives offer number one.

"A lot of schools have stopped by during the spring to watch us practice," he said. "I saw LSU, Nebraska, Arkansas, Southern Miss, Texas A&M and I think Auburn came by too."
