Recruiting Update: WR, Coleman & OL, Pascarella

When we last spoke to Drew Coleman from Cedar Park (TX) Vista Ridge, he had an offer from Army, to go along with one from Dartmouth of the Ivy League.

The speedy receiver is being recruited by Black Knights' by safety coach Adam Waugh and but is also hearing from Air Force and Navy. "I spoke to coaches from both schools in the spring, but I don't have an offer from either," shares Coleman.

The 5-foot-10, 170 pound receiver, has indicated that he will most likely wait until after the season to make his college decision.

Another player on the Black Knights' list prospects with offers is quality linemen Gavin Pascarella out of Corona (CA) Centennial, whose teammate is another one of Army's wide receiver hot targets for this recruiting class, Ricky Marvray.

Currently, Pascarella has offers from Nebraska, Air Forces, UTEP, Boise State and Navy. In addition, he is also hearing from several of the Ivy League schools.

Of the academies, the 6-foot-4, 260 pounder has visited both Navy and Air Force. "I attended Air Forces' military summer seminar, but nothing related to football," shares Pascarella. I went to Navy's football camp my sophomore summer … this was before they offered me.

Right now, has designated Boise State as one school that he will visit officially, but also stated that he is open to the East Coast. "Part of my family is from New York and New Jersey," says Pascarella, who is being recruited by Army's offensive line coach, Saga Tuitele. "I have been interested in the military academies, even as a little kid."

Pascarella and his teammates are working hard, as they visions of returning to the state championship, which they lost to De La Salle 37-31. "I don't want to say anything … a lot of teams say that and blow it, but we look good right now," says a confident Pascarella.
